I found my passion for teaching in high school. I was a student aide for a couple of teachers in my senior year of high school. I had the opportunity to be an aide for a student teacher. I was able to help in a freshmen class. I just fell in love with answering students questions and helping them understand the art they were trying to create. I loved watching them grow and develop as artists. In those moments when I would help them, critique them, and give advice I realized this is what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. My high school art teacher Mrs. Pink really mentored to me. She was the first person to push me and nurtured my development as an artist. She was so thrilled when I told her I wanted to be an art teacher. The high school I went to was very small, so the art classes were combined, so when I was done with a project I would help assist the other students.
